Alyssa Sellors taught English and Journalism before resigning from her teaching career to work as a full-time freelance writer. Alyssa works with clients from a variety of industries to create engaging and informative web content. She has conducted research and created original content as part of large marketing campaigns, and takes pride in embracing the voice and culture of the companies she represents.
Alyssa’s work has been published on a variety of online publications such as Digital Journal and Buzz Feed.
Other experience includes academic writing, editing and proofreading, and ghost writing.
Alyssa has a Bachelors Degree of Science in Secondary English Education from Kennesaw State University and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree of Arts in Applied Writing, also from Kennesaw State University. Alyssa has completed the ASNE Reynolds Journalism Institute , held at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in Phoenix, Arizona, and was an active member of JEA and NSPA as a speaker at their bi-annual national conventions.
Alyssa lives in Marietta, Georgia with her chihuahua, husband, and two baby boys. She loves blogging, reading, and baking, and sometimes misses teaching (high school kids keep you young!). Some of her favorite things include traveling to walking cities, smelling coffee in the morning, and the feeling of sending an attachment of a completed piece of writing. Her hobbies include fitness and nutrition, baking, and of course, wine tasting.
